When we cry, &quot;Abba! Father!&quot; 16it is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ — if, in fact, we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.</p><p>22We know that the whole creation has been groaning in labor pains until now; 23and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what is seen? 25But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.</p><p>26Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. 27And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.<br></p></div>05/18/20241 Corinthians 15:50-57https://elca.org/Faith/DailyBible/3879https://elca.org/Faith/DailyBible/3879<div class="ExternalClass7162774E155F42D7A034165843CFBF86"><p>50What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this&#58; flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51Listen, I will tell you a mystery! We will not all die, but we will all be changed, 52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For this perishable body must put on imperishability, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54When this perishable body puts on imperishability, and this mortal body puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will be fulfilled&#58;<br> &#160;&quot;Death has been swallowed up in victory.&quot;<br> 55&quot;Where, O death, is your victory?<br> Where, O death, is your sting?&quot;</p><p>56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.<br></p></div>05/17/2024Psalm 33:12-22https://elca.org/Faith/DailyBible/3878https://elca.org/Faith/DailyBible/3878<div class="ExternalClass162C18EA317C4463B557EE50A0953BC8"><p>12Happy is the nation whose God is the LORD,<br> the people whom he has chosen as his heritage.<br> 13The LORD looks down from heaven;<br> he sees all humankind.<br> 14From where he sits enthroned he watches<br> all the inhabitants of the earth —<br> 15he who fashions the hearts of them all,<br> and observes all their deeds.<br> 16A king is not saved by his great army;<br> a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.<br> 17The war horse is a vain hope for victory,<br> and by its great might it cannot save.<br> 18Truly the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him,<br> on those who hope in his steadfast love,<br> 19to deliver their soul from death,<br> and to keep them alive in famine.<br> 20Our soul waits for the LORD;<br> he is our help and shield.<br> 21Our heart is glad in him,<br> because we trust in his holy name.<br> 22Let your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us,<br> even as we hope in you.<br></p></div>05/16/2024John 16:16-24https://elca.org/Faith/DailyBible/3877https://elca.org/Faith/DailyBible/3877<div class="ExternalClassD1A7AFEC9BF844B39C19A41A88D0BBD1"><p>16A little while, and you will no longer see me, and again a little while, and you will see me. 17Then some of his disciples said to one another, &quot; What does he mean by saying to us, 'A little while, and you will no longer see me, and again a little while, and you will see me'; and 'Because I am going to the Father'?&quot; 18They said, &quot; What does he mean by this 'a little while'?
