Judging Criteria
Keep our judging criteria in mind when planning your script. If your video is one of ten finalists in the category you entered, it will be judged on the following:
- Creativity
We are looking for videos that tell the stories of “God’s work. Our hands.” in surprising and unexpected ways. Think outside the box, both with the story you select and the way you tell it.
- Ability to inspire
Are you inspired by the story you’re telling? We hope so; that’s what this contest is all about.
Your goal is to create a video that will encourage members and congregations to explore new opportunities for doing God’s work with their hands. How exciting is that?
- Interpretation of theme
How well did you understand the assignment? Are you able to demonstrate how people of faith make a difference in their workplaces, homes and in the world? Did you clearly illustrate the positive impact of your story on all persons involved? Ultimately, your story should be one of partnership and empowerment, captured in a moment of faith in action.
- Popularity
This will be a combination of your ratings and your views. Here’s where friends, family, co-workers and kindly strangers come in! Urge them to view and rate your video AND encourage everyone they know to view and rate it too.
