When is MYLE?
MYLE begins Monday, July 16, 2012 and ends Wednesday, July 18, 2012.
What time does the event begin and end?
The event begins with registration at 3:00 pm on Monday and ends with closing worship at 12:00 pm on Wednesday.

What is the cost for MYLE?
MYLE is a subsidized event, so the cost of registration only covers a small cost of the actual event. The MYLE registration cost to participants is only $150, which includes housing, meals, programming and a t-shirt.
Are there any age or participation requirements?
The age requirements are the same as the ELCA Youth Gathering — any teenager going into ninth, tenth, eleventh or twelfth grade or having just graduated from high school at the time of MYLE and the Gathering is eligible to register as part of a congregational group. All registrants should be members or guests of ELCA congregations.
What is the role of adults and is there a youth to adult ratio?
The ELCA Youth Gathering and MYLE are ministries by, with, and for teenagers. For that reason we cannot support a one-to-one ratio of adults to youth. We have noticed, however, and want to be supportive of, a growing connection between caring adults and young people in ministry. The ideal youth to adult ratio is 5 to 1, but the only ratio we insist on is one adult for every ten youth, and we encourage at least one adult for each gender represented in a group. Adult leaders must be at least 21 years of age at the time of the Gathering.
Will we be in the same hotel if we are attending MYLE and the Gathering?
Participants might not be housed in the same hotel if they are attending both events.This year, the Gathering has decided to group congregations by synods in each hotel. The MYLE Planning Team wanted our participants to have the same experience as those attending the Gathering, therefore congregations whose synods are housed in a different hotel for the Gathering than the MYLE hotel will relocate for The Gathering to be with their synods. We are working to make this transition happen as smoothly as possible.
Are their opportunities to volunteer at MYLE?
Yes. Young adults from each of the ethnic-specific communities were given the opportunity to apply to be volunteers at this event. The application process is now closed.

Registration
The cost of MYLE is $150 per person, which includes: housing, programming, meals and a t-shirt. Registration for MYLE 2012 opened at the same time as registration for the ELCA Youth Gathering. To be registered for the event, congregational leaders should have indicated on their Gathering registration forms which participants would be also attending MYLE. Due to a great response, MYLE is at capacity and registration has closed.
Housing and Transportation
MYLE will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel New Orleans. Registration for the MYLE event includes housing for both Monday, July 16 and Tuesday, July 17 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Housing for those congregations that arrive early and require rooms before July 16 must be made by the congregation. Housing following the MYLE event (for The Gathering) must be made based directly with the hotel each congregation is assigned. For more information on your congregation's assigned hotel, log in to your Gathering congregational account to see your hotel assignment.
Congregations are responsible for the cost and means of travel to and from MYLE. Options include air travel, Amtrak, vans or buses.
