Mission Interpretation
Stewardship
Welcome to the Mission Interpretation Network where approximately 70 Mission Interpreter Coordinators and 400 plus Mission Interpreters tell the story of where the offering is going through your giving. Synods and coordinators work in synergy to tell personal stories from your synod. Personal stories are being told of how giving has changed the lives of many and being good stewards help to support God's work, Our hands. This is achieved through temple talks, bible studies and synod tables. So, look around at the below resources and find how God is changing lives through your giving.

2009 Stories of Faith in Action (formerly "Making Christ Known") Stories of Faith in Action 2009 is a print resource that explains who we are as the ELCA, what we do in ministry together, and how we fund it. The format is new in 2009 (magazine size rather than tabloid) and it has been completely redesigned with shorter stories about the ELCA ministries that are made possible through mission support given to this church.

Mission Support: Where Your Money Goes Available on DVD September 1, 2006 (26 minutes)
Generosity is an important part of being Christian. The money, time, talent and energy we give back to God through our offerings are used in a variety of important ways.
In this video hosted by The Rev. Dr. Marion Wyvetta Bullock, Executive for Leadership Development in the ELCA's Office of the Presiding Bishop, we ask three questions: Why do we give? What do we give? And, how is our money spent?
We also visit St. Paul Lutheran Church on the Island of Puerto Rico. This small congregation is making a big impact in their community and around the world through cheerful giving. Use this new resource as a great way to support stewardship initiatives in your congregation
Order a copy of the DVD or view it on-line.
