Business Officers Conference
April 7 – 10, 2010, Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, Washington
Dates and Times 
Participants are encouraged to arrive on Wednesday afternoon and depart on Saturday morning. PLU will supply a shuttle from SeaTac Airport to the Silver Cloud Inn at 5pm on Wednesday night, and back to the airport on Saturday morning (time to be determined). Please allow two hours for travel time before your flight. Optional dinner groups on or near the Tacoma waterfront will be available on Wednesday evening for those who arrive at the Silver Cloud by 7pm or so. East coast folks may wish to dine earlier. Arrival information will be provided.
We will begin at 7am on Thursday morning, April 8 with breakfast at the Silver Cloud Inn. We will then travel by van to Pacific Lutheran University to spend the day in sessions, touring the campus and socializing, ending with dinner at Gonyea House hosted by President Anderson. Friday will find us at the Silver Cloud Inn once again for breakfast, then to downtown Tacoma to the law offices of Gordon Thomas Honeywell for another day of stimulating presentations and discussions. We will end the day at a dinner hosted by Sheri Tonn at her home near downtown Tacoma.
Travel SubsidyOn an as-needed basis, ELCA will subsidize travel costs for one ELCA college participant per institution if a travel subsidy will make the difference between participating and not participating in the conference. Please contact Marilyn Olson or Kathie Baker before making plane reservations; flights must be made through Best Travel.
NOTE: Participants are responsible for such expenses as (1) registration fee (2) transportation to and from airport if you don’t use PLU vans, (3) lodging and incidentals, (4) Wednesday dinner.
Registration FeesRegistration fees assist with the cost of meals and breaks, van rental, & programming. You are welcome to bring a guest to the conference. Guests who register before the March 15 deadline are welcome to join us for all conference meals and tours. Registration materials will follow. This is for planning purposes only.

NOTE:
If reservations are not made by Monday, March 15, unreserved rooms will be released for general sale; however, after that date the hotel will accept reservations at the negotiated group rate only on a space available basis. Book your reservations today!
TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS:
TO/FROM SEA TAC AIRPORT: If you need alternate transportation, here are two options.
- Sound Transit RT 574 (Lakewood) to the Tacoma Dome Station. Cost $3 Transfer to Piece Transit RT 13(N 30th St). Exit at N Carr and 30th St. Hotel will be one block down Carr on Ruston Way. Cost $1.75
We will use vans to transport the entire group to Pacific Lutheran University on Thursday. If you wish to rent a car, you may do so; however, it will not be necessary to use it for conference activities.
WEDNESDAY DINNER – ON YOUR OWN
For participants who will be arriving in time for dinner, we’ll have some options available for group dinners near the Silver Cloud Inn. Each person will pay for his or her food and beverages. Please meet in the lobby at 6pm or 7pm.
