Founded in 1860, Augustana College is a selective liberal arts college located on a wooded and hilly 115-acre campus within Rock Island, Illinois.

Augustana enrolls 2,500 students of diverse social and cultural backgrounds and, as a part of the Quad Cities metro area, offers students various opportunities to explore their talents and interests through internships, social events, and cultural experiences — including the arts, athletics, ethnic festivals and social outreach. In addition, Augustana College offers its students varsity and club sports teams, intramural and recreational programs, and more than 100 extra-curricular clubs and organizations.
Augustana offers a curriculum that includes nearly 90 majors and related areas of study in the arts and sciences and pre-professional programs, complemented by the Honors Programs, the Senior Inquiry capstone project, internships, and many study abroad opportunities which can be funded in part by Augie Choice -- a $2,000 grant that allows students to follow learning opportunities beyond the classroom. These experiences prepare our students for a successful future.
Within a year of graduation, 95% of graduates are employed or pursuing an advanced degree and 87% of those pursuing advanced degrees were accepted to their first or second choice of grad school.
