Newberry is a liberal arts college of 1,084 students, where classes are taught by professors, not graduate students, in

small and personal classroom settings. With over $4 million awarded each year in academic, music, and athletic scholarships, Newberry is a surprisingly affordable private school.
Newberry boasts a high four-year graduation rate, offering bachelor degrees in art, science, nursing, music, and music education. Students can
choose from a wide variety of majors, minors, and pre-professional degrees, including a concentration forensic science.
Enjoying a diverse campus life of more than 50 clubs and organizations, students can do it all: participate in athletics, join a fraternity or sorority, take part in campus ministry, serve on student government, and much more.
As an NCAA Division II competitor, the College offers 15 sports for men and women. The academic success of Newberry’s student athletes is remarkable, including three consecutive South Atlantic Conference Academic Championships.
The campus is located in historic downtown Newberry, the safest town in South Carolina and one of the top 50 small towns in the south. As a Lutheran college, Newberry is dedicated to giving its students a foundation for good citizenship, strong families, successful careers, and a growing Christian faith.
