Stewardship Development
Stewardship development is becoming our mission and ministry emphasis as we continue to lead our mission congregations closer and closer to organization or major chance mission status. Most of our reviews are recommending that mission congregations should strengthen their work in the area of stewardship development.
African national ministries advisory team is working with its own team of stewardship consultants and trainers. As we see need or questions in the area of stewardship we are equipped and ready to respond. Our mission strategy strongly believes that mission development as a wholistic approach takes the task of stewardship seriously to encourage and lead mission towards supporting themselves fully and work with the wider church body through their partnership support.
The two greatest factors impacting the stewardship practices of African national mission churches are that African immigrants are usually working very low paying jobs as they are just migrating into a brand new life. The second factor is their commitment and obligation to support their families in the refugee camps or back in their countries of origin. Due to this two factors and some other additional reasons African national churches continue to struggle with issues of stewardship. Nonetheless our effort in the area of stewardship development continues as we strive to enhance and find ways of strengthening stewardship development in the lives of our new and growing mission and ministry sites.
