Food service positions provide menu planning & preparation, nutritional information and kitchen assistance. Office personnel have responsibilities in clerical areas, registration and bookkeeping.

Business Manager at Holden Village in Chelan, Washington
Responsibilities
Oversees the financial health and business operations of the village, assuring good stewardship of its assets, working closely with the co-directors in the implementation of our mission statement. Supervises several work areas providing guest and administrative services. Acts as liaison to several outside contacts for business, insurance and regulatory purposes. Responsible for creation and oversight of budget, preparation of interim financial reports and projections, and preparation of financial statements for auditor at year-end. Must be detail-oriented, motivated by mission, able to laugh regularly, and good both with and in front of people as team member and leader.
A three-year commitment is required for this position. The position is salaried and will begin in February 2010.

Medic/Nurse at Holden Village in Chelan, Washington
Responsibilities
The primary role of the Village Medic in this unique wilderness retreat setting is to provide health care for Village staff and guests on a 24-hour a day on call basis. The medic implements the nursing process in providing for ambulatory and emergency care needs of the Village community. The medic manages all aspects of the first aid station and helps educate staff and guests about health and safety issues. The medic practices according to the guidelines of the Washington State Registered Nurse Practice Act and utilizes standing orders written in collaboration with a Family Practice Physician in Chelan. In winter months the medic spends approximately 50% of working time in another Village position.Back-up Medic positions are also available between June and September.
Qualifications:
A current Washington State Registered Nurse license and liability insurance is required along with basic CPR certification. Sharp assessment skills, good nursing judgment, and ability to work independently are essential. Previous experience is required. Experience in ER and ambulatory care, community/home health and school nursing, med-surg and pediatric nursing may all contribute to preparation for this position. PAs may be considered pending discussion/approval of the Village’s sponsoring Physician.

IT Coordinator at Holden Village in Chelan, Washington
Job Description
Supervises all activities related to the village computer systems; maintains all equipment; orients and trains others who will be working with computer programs; backs up vital data; supports and maintains the village digital media and learning center and has overall responsibility (along with Media Ministry) for the digital media operation.
Candidate should know how to maintain and troubleshoot a small Windows/Apple network (approx. 25-30 workstations). This person would also manage an integrated, MS Access-based database, with a mailing list and financial giving info for over 10,000 people and will assume overall responsibility for the village website and email system.

Holden Village Down-Lake Manager (Holden Village B&B and Field's Point)
Job Description
The down-lake manager lives at 25-Mile-Creek on Lake Chelan, 3 miles up from Field's Point and 19 miles from the town of Chelan. The manager is responsible for hospitality to overnight guests at the Holden Village Bed & Breakfast, grounds keeping, and concession at Field's Point parking facility. He or she also provides a vital communications link to the up-lake Holden community through maintaining Holden's message service. This is a full-time position, with a two to three year commitment. Includes a monthly stipend, food allowance, housing, and health care benefits.
