Seasonal retreat staff positions take on a variety of characteristics, depending on the camping organization. Positions might include programming retreats, hosting groups, environmental education, site preparation, maintenance and hospitality. Holden Village Summer Supervisory Positions

Responsibilities
Positions include potter; bookstore assistant; hike haus; media ministry; registrar assistant; lead cooks; laundry, lawns and gardens; lead painter; lead bus driver; garbology assistant; carpenter; trails coordinator; waitri, pool hall/snack bar; miners/junior miners and narnia.

Lutheran Camp Director Internship at Cross Trails Ministry located in Kerrville, Texas

Responsibilities
Work with program staff to provide hospitality and program to weekend guests; design summer program resources; help to design and implement retreat programs; aid in recruiting summer staff; work with administrative staff to track registrations and expenses; work with facilities staff to make sure the site is in good repair and clean; attend board and committee meetings; participate in weekly learning sessions designed to clarify your outdoor ministry philosophy.

Qualifications
A Christian in support of the philosophy and mission of the ELCA and Cross Trails Ministry; strong leadership ability, and demonstrated organizational, interpersonal and communication skill; ability to work on a team and show creative initiative; good physical condition and emotional maturity; must be a college graduate or senior.

Compensation
Weekly stipend; food, housing and utilities and up to $500 for medical

Outdoor Education Instructor

Lutherhaven Ministries (Camp Lutherhaven & Shoshone Base Camp) in Coeur, d'Alene, Idaho

We are now hiring for our 2009 Fall Season
Training begins September 1 though October 2009

Responsibilities
Group leader and teacher in one, two and three day residential programs; develop and present outdoor classes; group building; special projects and light housekeeping; evening activities and mealtime duties.

Qualifications
Affirm basic Lutheran Christian values and strongly support the goals of Lutherhaven Ministries; work within the structure of an association ministry, compatible with ELCA, LCMS and secular constituents; positive attitude; energetic, dedicated, and able to become involved in all aspects of the program; foster a lifestyle of stewardship for creation; commitment to children and outdoor learning; experience working with children is preferred; teaching experience is not required, but a background in science is helpful; special skills, like music, singing, storytelling, drama, and group facilitating helpful.

Terms
Ongoing Recruitment for fall, winter and spring outdoor education sessions. Support staff/kitchen assistant positions are also available.

Compensation
Up to $250 per week, based on experience, with possible additional paid hours available on weekends at your request; full room and board.
