Although this is a free resource, it would not be possible with the support of ELCA Camping Office. Along with that office, Dawn Publishing granted permission to adapt various activities from Joseph Cornell’s books, Sharing Nature with Children and Sharing Nature with Children II. Please make use of their many environmental education resources as you continue to develop your program. Finally, a grant from the Donnelley Fund of Christ College, the Honors College of Valparaiso University provided funds that allowed these games to be organized.
Ben Leese, a member of the staff of Camp Kirchenwald in Colebrook PA, wrote and organized these activities. The Kirchenwald staff of many summers played a role in shaping and developing these games, and it is the hope of the camp staff that they will be helpful in your place of ministry as well. Mike Youse, Rev. Conrad Youse, Ron Leese, Winnie Youse, Mark Oldland, and Nate McKelvie were of particular help in developing these resources.
