Communion Leadership Formation

Capacity Building among member churches is encouraged and supported in order to strengthen the churches in their mission and ministry. In our region, communion leadership formation programs have been established to raise leaders with global, communion, and ecumenical perspectives and experience.

Currently, these programs offered:

“The Ecumenical Church in a Globalized World” (January term) for seminarians and 

“A Communion of Communities: Being Lutheran in a Globalizing World” (December term) for Synodical and Regional leaders. 

Because of staff transition in the LWF Regional and Global Offices, the programs will not be implemented in 2010 (December term) and 2011 (January term).
