Care for Care Givers

Often the most sacrificial love and care extended to children with special needs, and the most tireless advocacy, comes from their caregivers.

These same caregivers, though, may not always take the time and energy needed to care for themselves. Friends, other family members, and congregations need to encourage and support caregivers in finding ways to create space for good self care. The Web sites below advocate for both the child as well as the caregivers.

Another element of good self care is learning how to amplify your voice through a community of others who are dealing with many of the same issues. Caregivers that organize have stronger voices for advocacy and more ways to stir visibility and action. Below are links to assist you.
