Getting ready for Lent
Didn't we just celebrate Christmas and Epiphany? Seems that way, but Lent is coming soon—Ash Wednesday is February 17. Looking into the Mirror is a short resource that invites you to use the Lenten season to refocus your faith life and realign your relationship with God. Use it with a small group or individually.

Responding to the Haiti earthquake
Lutheran women are known for lots of things, but what often comes to mind are quilts, health kits and layette kits. Lutheran World Relief was in dire need of these before the earthquake in Haiti and certainly needs them now. Use these prayers for the dedication of quilts and relief projects with your group or your whole congregation.

Any funds you collect at a Women of the ELCA meeting or gathering can be sent through the churchwide office, which also helps us track giving from the women's organization. 100% of your gift will be immediately forwarded to ELCA Disaster Response. Send your check with Form B to:

Bold Women’s Day celebrates the diverse ways in which we act boldly on our faith in Jesus Christ. You—individually and together in your congregation—are invited to celebrate Bold Women’s Day, February 28, 2010. See our Web pages for ideas on how to observe the day and for certificates you can use to honor the bold women you know.
