Responding to the Haiti earthquake Lutheran women are known for lots of things, but what often comes to mind are quilts, health kits and layette kits. Lutheran World Relief was in dire need of these before the earthquake in Haiti and certainly needs them now. Use these prayers for the dedication of quilts and relief projects with your group or your whole congregation.
Any funds you collect at a Women of the ELCA meeting or gathering can be sent through the churchwide office, which also helps us track giving from the women's organization. 100% of your gift will be immediately forwarded to ELCA Disaster Response. Send your check with Form B to:

Celebrate Bold Women's Day
Lutheran women who act boldly on their faith are everywhere. Some are bold in conspicuous and visible ways, while others are bold in quiet yet strong ways.
Bold Women’s Day celebrates the diverse ways in which we act boldly on our faith in Jesus Christ. You—individually and together in your congregation—are invited to celebrate Bold Women’s Day, February 28, 2010. See our Web pages for ideas on how to observe the day and for certificates you can use to honor the bold women you know.
So you don't think you're bold? Let our latest resource convince you otherwise
All of us are bold in some way, since boldness comes in so many forms. Celebrate your bold, whatever shape it takes.
