I came from Zimbabwe for the Women Building Global Community (WBGC) seminar in South Africa with three goals: to share experiences related to racism, HIV/AIDS, and gender justice; to form new partnerships and learn ways of taking action on those issues; and to make new friends among the participants.

Women of the ELCA Scholarships
Women of the ELCA recently awarded academic scholarships totaling over $22,000. The 2009 scholarship recipients represent a diverse range of women in academic endeavors ranging from ordained and diaconal ministry to leadership development, nursing, and higher education. Their studies may be different, but all are taking a bold step in answering God's call!
