Where do you see justice?
Wartburg College , Waverly, IA (September 12)

    • Raised $2,130 for ELCA World Hunger
    • Collected toiletry items for Northeast Iowa Food Bank
    • Did a variety of service projects:
      • Assembled the entire United Way mailing for the Waverly area
      • Knitted and crocheted scrubbie pads for Self-Help (international non-profit that helps folks grow their own food)
      • Flood-clean up in Waverly home
      • Road clean up in Waverly
      • Waverly Child Care and Preschool grounds work
      • Waverly Library (painted garden bridge that spans flower garden)
      • Made 30 comfort blankets for Waverly Hospital (for children who come though ER, as patients or with families)

Augsburg College, Minneapolis, MN (September 13) (sponsored by Augsburg College's Youth & Family Ministry Major)

    • Raised $2,500 for ELCA World Hunger
    • Created banner raising awareness of the "26,000 children" that die of starvation every day
    • Wrote letters to congress urging them to support hunger relief and fight extreme poverty
    • Walked labyrinth designed to reflect on hunger and poverty

 Muhlenberg College, Allentown, PA (September 26)

    • Raised $3,000 for ELCA World Hunger
    • Collected 607 pounds of food for Second Harvest

Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, Gettysburg, PA (October 4)
(co-hosted by the seminary, Lower Susquehanna Synod Office for Youth Ministry, and Theological Education with Youth)

    • Raised $4,000 for ELCA World Hunger

Luther Place, Washington, DC (October 5)

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lansing, MI (October 9) (sponsored in part by the North/West Lower Michigan and Southeast Michigan Synods)

    • Raised $2,656 for ELCA World Hunger
    • Youth wrote letters to Senators Levin and Stabenow on paper plates encouraging them to support a strong Childhood Nutrition Act when it is reviewed this year.
    • Youth assembled 150 nutrition information packets that will go into weekend food packs for K-5 school children who take part in the breakfast and lunch program at an elementary school in Lansing. 

Carthage College, Kenosha, WI (October 10)

    • Raised $2,670 for ELCA World Hunger
    • Attendance: 402
    • Collected 329 non-perishable food items (approximately 110 pounds) for Shalom Center, a local
    • food bank, shelter, and assistance center.

Luther College, Decorah, IA (October 11)

    • Raised $3,501 for ELCA World Hunger 
    • Kickball tourney involved 10 ELCA congregations and Luther Athletes Serving Others (LASO) 
    • Collected about 500 pounds of food

Dana College, Blair, NE (October 17)

    • Raised $335 for ELCA World Hunger 

Texas Lutheran University, Seguin, TX (October 24)

    • Raised $2,000 for ELCA World Hunger and collected 100 pounds of food
    • Wrote letters to their representatives advocating for hunger relief

Lenoir-Rhyne University, Hickory, NC (October 25)

    • Raised $6,220 for ELCA World Hunger
    • 400 pounds of food collected
