Assignment Checklist

 
[] Develop a devotional plan that will attend to the spiritual dimensions of assignment decisions.
 
[] Engage your spouse or significant others in prayer and conversation about this process.
 
[] Write and submit Approval Essay to Candidacy Committee and Seminary.
 
[] Schedule Faculty Approval Interview.
 
[] Schedule Candidacy Approval Interview (verify with the synod that all required paperwork has been received).
 
[] Check with your seminary, synod, and/or Regional Coordinator to identify meetings or assistance that may be available to you in this process.
 
[] Fill out the Candidate Assignment Paperwork Form (pages A, B, and R, R- if restricting to a geographic location, and candidate commentary). E-mail the form as an attachment to assignment@elca.org and save both a printed and computer file copy for your records.
 
[] Fill out the Rostered Leader Profile (RLP). Once complete submit electronically as instructed on the form itself to the Mobility Database System.
