Assignment Checklist

	Develop a devotional plan that will attend to the spiritual dimensions of assignment decisions.
	Engage your spouse or significant others in prayer and conversation about this process.
	Write and submit Approval Essay to Candidacy Committee and Seminary.
	Schedule Faculty Approval Interview.
	Schedule Candidacy Approval Interview (verify with the synod that all required paperwork has been received).
	Check with your seminary, synod, and/or Regional Coordinator to identify meetings or assistance that may be available to you in this process.
	Fill out the Candidate Assignment Paperwork Form (pages A, B, and R, R- if restricting to a geographic location, and candidate commentary). E-mail the form as an attachment to assignment@elca.org and save both a printed and computer file copy for your records.
	Fill out the Rostered Leader Profile (RLP). Once complete submit electronically as instructed on the form itself to the Mobility Database System.
