The vision of the Fund for Leaders is to provide support to all qualified students preparing for ordained or rostered lay ministry through one of the eight ELCA seminaries. Since 2000, the Fund for Leaders has awarded approximately 700 full and partial tuition scholarships totaling over $5.9 million in tuition assistance.  more

Today, your gift goes further.
Thanks to the Mission Investment Fund, your gift to the Mission Developer Fund will be matched 50 percent. A gift of $100 immediately becomes $150; a gift of $1,000 becomes $1,500 and so on. This scholarship will assist those students who qualify and have a “call” to new mission starts. Multiply your gift by donating to the Mission Developer Fund.

Leadership matters in a church that is sent to make a difference in the world.  Our leaders are called to serve, to inspire, and to proclaim the gospel.  They can revitalize congregations, impact communities, and restore hope in the world.  Well-prepared leaders are vital to the future of the ELCA.  It is the responsibility of the whole church to identify, train, and support those whom God calls to this important work.
