Sister Diaconal Community

A new global partnership has been born

The Deaconess Community, ELCA, and the Tumushubire Nkwenda Mother House from the Diocese of Karagwe, Tanzania have mutually committed themselves to be partners in the ministry of prayer and diaconia. Sister Florence Gatege brought greetings from her Tanzanian community and Sister Anne Keffer announced that over $3,000 would soon be wired to our new “sister diaconal community” – an offering gift from individual sisters in honor of this community’s 125th anniversary.
