Are you thinking about a call to ministry? Begin by reading "Have you Heard God's Call to Ministry?"

Additionally in the discernment process:

  • Contact your synod office and request information about becoming a diaconal minister
  • Read What Shall I Say? available through Augsburg Fortress
  • Talk to your pastor or one of your bishop’s associates
  • Network with and have conversation with diaconal ministers serving in a variety of settings
