The Diaconal Ministry Community of the ELCA offers two on-line discussion groups where participants can make announcements, share joys and sorrows, request prayers, and enter into discussion on important topics. Just fill out the form below to be invited to one or both of the private discussion groups described below.
DMTALK
If you are entranced as a diaconal ministry candidate of the ELCA and have attended the Diaconal Ministry Formation Event in Gettysburg, you are invited to join this online group. Simply fill out the form above and Kris Perry, Leadership Team chairperson, will send you an official invitation via Ecunet. Once diaconal ministry candidates have been approved for call, they are then invited to join a second group, CDMTALK.
This online group is a wonderful way for you, as a diaconal ministry candidate, to stay in touch with hundreds of other candidates and to ask questions in a confidential way. The Leadership Team members have committed to subscribing to this group as our way of helping to answer your important questions and offering continued support while you are in the candidacy process. Several additional consecrated diaconal ministers may also subscribe to this group to offer support as well.
CDMTALK
If you are a consecrated diaconal minister of the ELCA or have been approved by your candidacy committee and are awaiting your first call, you are invited to join this group. Simply fill out the form about and Kris Perry, Leadership Team chairperson, will send you an official invitation via Ecunet.
Both of these online groups are sponsored by the Leadership Team of the Diaconal Ministry Community, with technical support provided by Paul Edison-Swift, ELCA communications staff (800-638-3522 x 2946).
