Christmas - Daily Lectionary
Year B, 2011-2012
The foundational premise of this set of daily readings is their relationship to the Sunday lectionary. The readings are chosen so that the days leading up to Sunday (Thursday through Saturday) prepare for the Sunday readings. The days flowing out from Sunday (Monday through Wednesday) reflect upon the Sunday readings. Readings Sundays and festivals are found in the
Lectionary: Sundays and Festivals pages and in the Propers section of
Evangelical Lutheran Worship (pp. 18-63). The complete Daily Lectionary is on pages 1121- 1153 in
Evangelical Lutheran Worship. Scripture references are from the
New Revised Standard Version of the Bible.
