Get a jump on summer
Plan a one-day retreat using this summer’s
Gather Bible study, “Along the Way.” Have you ever taken a classic summer road trip with family or friends? Then you know the conversations you have along the way are an important part of the journey. What began as a road trip might become a pilgrimage. In this study, we’ll meet some biblical travelers, enter in conversation with them and explore our own journeys of faith. The writer, the Rev. Julie A. Kanarr, an ELCA pastor from Port Townsend, Wash., is a pilgrim-student of the Bible who has journeyed extensively by car, bicycle, kayak, foot, boat and airplane. She’ll be our guide. Subscribe to

Lenten resourcesAs Ash Wednesday approaches, use Looking Into The Mirror: A Lenten Reflection to reflect on your faith life and realign your relationship with God. (An excerpt from this resource appears in the March issue of Gather magazine, too.)
Next week we’ll be publishing a new Lenten resource, Lent: Penitence, Pilgrimage, Preparation. Intended for use by a group, it also includes many Lenten practices, some of which can be taken up immediately and others that call for additional preparation.
