U.S. Wildfires

The Situation:
Massive wildfires fueled by intense winds have destroyed more than 1,000 homes, endangered entire communities, and continues to claim lives in California. More than 100,000 people have been forced to evacuate while thousands of others remain without power and other utilities.

Our Response:
Lutheran Disaster Response, through the Sierra Pacific Synod and Lutheran Social Services of Northern California, will be responding to address the overwhelming needs of those affected by wildfires. Your gifts will help us deliver a robust response on the long road to recovery.

Gifts to Lutheran Disaster Response designated for "U.S. wildfires" will be used entirely (100 percent) for this disaster until the response is complete. Together, we can help provide immediate and long-lasting support. Give today to support the needs in this response and others like it.

What you can do:

Pray:

Pray that God might deliver comfort to those who mourn the loss of loved ones, and strength to those who are working diligently to contain the fires and care for affected communities.
