ELCA members are celebrating a significant achievement in the fight against malaria. In 2009, ELCA members responded to calls from companions and partners in Africa to raise $15 million by the end of 2015 as part of a global movement to help end malaria. Recently that goal was met. This video highlights the impact of the contributions ELCA members have made.

While zip lining at the 2015 Youth Gathering in Detroit, ELCA Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton had fun but kept a tight grip. In her life, she says, she also used to “white-knuckle it,” trying to hold on and manage everything. “But,” she says, “when I realized if I just let go, God was right there, and I can fall and not be afraid.”
