2008 New England Synod Exchange

Youth from Beit Jala visit the New England Synod

Five boys came to New England from the Evangelical Lutheran Boys' Home at the Abraham Herberge in Beit Jala late June through early July of 2008. This was the result of New England Synod Mission Trips to the Holy Land in 2007 and 2008.

The boys were housed with families from Christ the King Lutheran Church in Nashua, New Hampshire and spoke to community members about their life in Palestine at a dinner event.

They spent one week at Camp Calumet Lutheran in Freedom, New Hampshire, traveled to the Maine Coast where they were hosted by Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bangor, Maine.

And they finished up with a trip to New York City, hosted by St. John's Lutheran Church in Stamford, Connecticut.
