We help to bring God's comfort, healing and renewal to those affected by disasters. And when the dust settles and the headlines change, we stay to provide ongoing assistance to those in need.

Below is a list of the major responses Lutheran Disaster Response is supporting. The full extent of work being carried out by our international companions and affiliates here in the U.S. extends far beyond the list below. Response in Haiti
In 2010 a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the land of Haiti causing widespread descruction, it was followed by a cholera outbreak and Hurricane Tomas in November 2010. This string of disasters had had a major impact on the country. The ELCA has been their to walk with our companions at each step of the way.
