Requesting groups with construction experience (a 3:1 ratio of unskilled to skilled volunteers is preferred) to assist with repairs stemming from the July 2015 flood in Jefferson County (about 30 miles south of St. Louis).
December 2015 flood – 33 counties affected; greatest impact in the St. Louis region
The muck out/debris removal phase is winding down but there is still a small need for clean-up/emergency repair teams. As the recovery effort progresses, there will also be significant need for repair/rebuild volunteers. The Disaster Case Management process is ramping up, and it is anticipated that rebuild volunteer teams will be needed in mid-late spring 2016.
