Evangelical Lutheran Church in America 

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America was formed in 1982 by the union of three North American Church bodies: The American Lutheran Church, the Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches, and the Lutheran Church in America. Today, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (or ELCA) consists of more than 4 million members in 65 geographic regions of North America.
