The Rev. William Lazareth 

William H. Lazareth is the Jerald C. Brauer distinguished professor of Lutheran Studies at Carthage College. Before his retirement he served in the World Council of Churches, as bishop of the Metropolitan New York Synod of the ELCA, and taught at Princeton Theological Seminary, Union Theological Seminary, and the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Philadelphia.
