Meet the Editors

Kaari Reierson is Editor of the Journal of Lutheran Ethics.

Kaari Reierson, Interim Editor
Kaari worked in the ELCA's Department for Studies from 2001 to 2010. Seminary at Yale Divinity School was the first time anyone said to her, "You're so lucky you majored in Classics.” She also received a Masters in International Relations with a concentration in human rights from Yale. She served an inner city parish in New Haven, Connecticut, as intern and later as summer interim pastor and day camp director. She served a parish in Evanston, Ill., until her second child left her too sleep-deprived to work two jobs. She lives in suburban Chicago with her husband and two boys and the ridiculous number of soccer mom commitments that have accrued since she stopped working in the Department for Studies.
