Resolved
To encourage congregations to share with their young members information on the church’s position on conscientious objection to military service and on the availability of nondirective counseling; and

To refer the memorial of the Minneapolis Area Synod jointly to the Division for Congregational Ministries and the Division for Church in Society with the request that those units explore ways to share information and resources in this area, including alternative service possibilities, with synods and congregations, as they seek to support pastors, teachers, and others in congregations who work with young people.
