  • Kaari Reierson opened with devotions.
  • Cynthia Osborne reviewed the agenda.
  • The task force reviewed the previous meeting and what members learned from the presenters.
  • David Frederickson presented to the task force on models of crime, justice, and judgment in the New Testament.
  • The task force discussed the presentation in plenary and in small groups.
  • Carl Mazza presented to the task force on the effect on families of incarceration. Carl Mazza presented to the task force on prison education and mentoring. The task force engaged Dr. Mazza in discussion afterwards.
  • Dawn Bartusch presented to the task force on the effect of race in the criminal justice system. The task force discussed the presentation of Drs Bartusch and Frederickson in small groups.
  • Victor Thasiah gave a recounting of the day and the task force engaged in discussion.

  • The task force began by reporting in on listening posts that members had held and discussing what had been learned by holding the listening posts.
  • Derek Nelson presented on theological themes related to criminal justice.
  • James Bell presented on the juvenile justice system.
