Economic Life
In caring for our neighbor, the ELCA strives to ensure that all have a livelihood that is sufficient for basic needs and is sustainable to the earth. The issues associated with economic life and economic justice are many. They include poverty versus wealth, corporate social responsibility, hunger, consumerism, international debt relief, gambling, racism, sexism, community development and worker exploitation.
