Health and Wellness

Physical and mental health is an essential component in a Christian vocation in Christ Jesus, and is God's intention for every human being. It is vital to our wellbeing and helps to strengthen our relationships and enhance the work we are able to do for our community and world. Promoting good health is our shared endeavor in God, as caring for our neighbor's health is an expression our Christian love and servanthood. The ELCA recognizes the advantages of good health and a strong health care system. It is committed to raising awareness about of health-related issues as well as health-related ministries both in the United States and around the world.
