Siloam Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church
Siloam Danish Lutheran Church, organized on March 16, 1890, was received into the United Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church in 1892. A church structure was built in 1894 on three lots on Snell (later Ada) Street and Chicago Ave. Because of the migration of the Danish residents, the congregation relocated in 1910 to the corner of Cortland and Lowell, where a new building was constructed later that year. The old facility was sold to a Polish congregation.
Through the home mission efforts of lay members of Siloam, Ebenezer Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church was organized in 1895 and Gethsemane Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church was organized in 1900.
In 1942 Siloam merged with Gethsemane, which had been served by Siloam's pastor since 1939, to form Our Savior's United Lutheran Church.
