St. Ansgar's Danish Lutheran Church
Faced with the Danish-immigrant population movement to the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, Trinity Danish Lutheran Church established a mission in that area in 1885. Trinity built a hall, located at 1637 N. Washtenaw, in Humboldt Park and conducted services twice a month. On February 17, 1890 this mission became St. Ansgar's Lutheran, a member in the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church.
On January 8, 1928 St. Ansgar's merged back into Trinity, at 2846 N. Cortez. St. Ansgar's building was sold to the Danish American Athletic Club for use as a gymnasium. Trinity dissolved in 1972.
