Epiphany English Lutheran Church
Epiphany English Lutheran Church was organized in 1904 as the Lutheran Church of the Epiphany, a member of the Chicago Synod of the General Council. Originally located at 12th and Ogden, the church moved to 745 S. Sacramento, at Lexington Blvd., in the 1910s.
It merged in 1929 with Hope Lutheran to form Hope Epiphany. Hope Epiphany used Hope's building at 855 N. Monticello Ave. In 1973 Hope Epiphany merged with Advent to form Incarnation Lutheran at 1345 N. Karlov Ave. On March 19, 1994, Incarnation consolidated with New Hope Lutheran to form Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church at 1345 N. Karlov Ave.
