St. Peter's English Evangelical Lutheran Church

St. Peter's English Evangelical Lutheran Church, a member of the General Council, was organized on March 30, 1895. Meeting in vacant stores originally, the congregation obtained lots at 3300 W. LeMoyne, at N. Spaulding Ave. The first unit of the church building was completed in April 1902 and the completed structure (pictured above) was finished in 1919.

The church building was remodeled in 1938 and 1955.

In 1965 St. Peter's merged with
St. Simon's (1889, General Synod) to form
Simon Peter Lutheran Church at 1540 N. Spaulding Ave. Simon Peter disbanded in December 1991.
