Kathryn Sime has served as the director of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s World Hunger and Disaster Appeal since 2004. Prior to working with ELCA World Hunger, Ms. Sime worked for four years as a consultant to nonprofit organizations with The Alford Group. She previously worked for the ELCA churchwide organization as an analyst in the Department for Research and Evaluation.
Ms. Sime is a graduate of Luther College, Decorah, Ia., and, she received a master’s degree from DePaul University. She writes occasionally for
The Lutheran and
Lutheran Woman Today magazines.
Ms. Sime is a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicago, Ill., where she has served on the congregation council and as co-chair of the capital campaign.
