Reception
Ecumenical and inter-religious relationships, from local to international contexts, need to be
received in the life of the church. The term ‘reception’ conveys the activity of sharing, deepening, or implementing ecumenical advances and inter-religious cooperation. Any effort – from a local church to an international Conciliar organization – to bring ecumenical agreements and inter-religious advancements into the daily life of the church is an act of reception.
