Global Mission Two-Year (GM2) Service

Guidelines for the GM2 Program

 
Applications for teaching in China must be received by February 15. For all other GM2 positions priority is given to applications received by March 15. Check the web postings for up-to-date application deadlines.








The GM2 Program is designed for single persons. In some instances a dual assignment may be available for a couple, both of whom have a work assignment. There is no provision in the program for dependent children. Often personnel are recent college graduates or early retirees.

Provisions of service
The provisions of service detailed below are not intended to be a full compensation package related to job content or market conditions, but rather are a support package
to enable personnel to live adequately albeit modestly.
  • 24-month commitment
  • Stipend of $675 per month while in service
  • A Goods and Service Differential provides equitable support among high cost and
    low-cost countries of service
  • Full medical and dental benefits, with all insurance premiums paid by Global Mission
  • Housing and all utilities
  • International transportation and modest shipping assistance
  • Student loan assistance: 50% reimbursement of student loan obligations up to a maximum monthly benefit of $200
  • Service begins with an orientation program in July or January
  • Four weeks annual vacation
  • Cash grant at completion of service and continued medical and pension benefits for two additional month
