Liberia motorcycles and helmets
This endeavor supports evangelism and the revitalization of the Liberian church by securing motorbikes and helmets for pastors and deacons to travel to more than 46 parishes on otherwise impassable roads.
Malawi Mobile Clinic and Orphan Feeding Program
Equipping more than 400,000 HIV/AIDS orphans to live healthy and restored lives, this mobile health program trains volunteers in nutrition basics, provides medical and emotional support and feeds malnourished children.
Zambia Church Buildings and Roofs
Providing funds for roofing and construction of new church buildings, this project allows the young Zambian Lutheran Church to minister to the 1700 members who have been baptized.

Chinese Orphans
Through the Amity Foundation, this program provides disabled and female orphans with “volunteer grandmas,” medical care, school sponsorships and foster care.
China Jing-Tang Schools
In partnership with the Sichaun Christian Council and the YWCA, this ministry replaces deteriorated student desks and chairs in the poorest county in Chengdu.

Europe and the Middle East
Theological and secondary education, capacity building, refugee ministries, health care and housing

Refugees from Sudan and elsewhere fill Cairo but have few rights to work or live a basic existence. St. Andrews' Refugee Service teaches children, adults and youth basic and vocational education. |

Palestinian and American youth worked together to clean up the Lutheran World Federation grounds, including around Augusta Victoria Hospital, on the Holy Land Youth Mission trip. |
Egypt - St. Andrew's Refugee Service
Training 1,200 adult refugees in business and conversational English, computer skills, and accounting, this work improves the opportunities for successful integration upon resettlement or repatriation. It also enables 170 refugee children to attend St. Andrew’s school.
Holy Land Youth Missions
Bringing American and Palestinian youth together to learn peace-building and justice-making skills and learn about one another's faith and lives invests in and develops youth from the ELCA and our companion church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land.
Russian Food Sharing
A part of the Moscow Protestant Chaplaincy, this ministry provides food bags and a safe haven twice a month to over 200 African students and refugees stranded in Moscow after the fall of Communism.

A day care center in Argentina brings hope and joy to its children.

Jamaica Sunbeam School for Boys
This home for boys and young men at risk in Jamaica provides proper nutrition, education, and social skills in a Christian atmosphere. Contributions support scholarships for 25 boys, sponsorship of a staff person and milk for each child.
Peru Church Building
This project helps the Peruvian Lutheran church build new church buildings where faith communities are growing: two congregations in Lima (Emaús and San Juan Camino de Esperanza) and one faith community in Cusco (Talitha Kum).
