Painted fabric note cards

Materials needed:

Muslin
Fabric paints
Paintbrushes
Styrofoam trays or containers to put paint in
Gold fabric paint
Pencils
Glue
Card stock paper or ready made plain note cards
Newspapers
Paint smocks
Pinking shears

With pinking shears, cut muslin into 3" by 4" pieces, or to be slightly smaller than the note cards you will glue the fabric painting to.

Cover work area with newspapers, and put painting smocks on younger crafters. With pencil, sketch a simple picture of an animal, hut, tree, or combination of them. Paint picture with fabric paint and brushes. (Put the paint in a container and use paintbrush to do the painting.) When finished, take a bottle or tube of gold fabric paint and outline the objects in the painting--the animal, hut, and so forth. Let dry. When painting is dry, glue to the front of a note card.
