Staff development: opportunities to grow
Staff development through training, continuing education and professional development programs is encouraged and supported. Each employee is expected to have an individual development plan that addresses career goals and objectives as well as the needs of the churchwide organization.
Financial support is available through matching funds on an annual basis. Employees have a maximum of 80 hours of paid time per year to use for education and development activities.
A sabbatical of up to three months is available to employees after six years of service and at six-year intervals thereafter. The purpose of the sabbatical is to give the employee an opportunity to extend and increase knowledge and competency in their chosen field of specialization.
