Building Consulting Services
A value-added service, free to ELCA borrowers.
The Mission Investment Fund provides church-planning and -construction consulting services to congregations, synods and ELCA-related ministries. Our experienced staff architects and building consultants will guide your ministry through the building process, help you maximize resources, provide information about loan options and show you how your facilities can more effectively support your mission and ministry goals. Our building consultants will help:
- Review your ministry goals to help plan building programs that support the goals and mission
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing facilities or plans for new facilities
- Develop a financial plan based on your congregation's income, expenses and debt capacity
- Explain effective church design to ensure that a building is visible, accessible and expandable, and can be built using standard methods and materials
- Create a comfortable and welcoming environment
- Explain construction methods, schedules and budgets so that your congregation saves time and money
Our staff architects assist congregations that are considering building or renovating -- with site planning, cost estimating and initial schematic designs. These services are provided free of charge.
