- To ensure that commitments made in "A Formula of Agreement" be carried out;
- To refer matters that require internal legislative decision-making to the appropriate decision-making bodies of the participating churches;
- To refer matters related to programs to the appropriate units of the participating churches, encouraging them to fulfill these specific tasks, and asking for regular progress reports;
- To address ongoing relationship issues for the participating churches and to facilitate inter-church activities;
- To propose national events for the participating churches; and
- To report annually to the participating churches on the status of inter-church activities.
