A Gathering of Synodical Bishops' Administrative Assistants

 
The Synodical Bishops's Administrative Assistants' Gathering is being held at the Lutheran Center in Chicago from August 13-15, 2008.

This is an event for the senior administrative staff person from each synod as identified by the synod bishop.

Highlights of the event include:

  • Bible Study lead by Pr. Stan Olson, Executive Director, ELCA Vocation and Education
  • Workstyle and other assesment seminars hosted by Ruth St. Pierre from Rockhurst University
  • Workshops on several key topics
    • Synod Assembly Planning
    • Database and Roster management
    • Effective Communication and the ELCA website
    • Candidacy and Mobility
    • Handling transition in the synod office

    Meals and Airfare are provided. Housing will be provided at the Marriott O'hare Hotel accross the street from the Lutheran Center.

    The cost is only $250.
