Resources for Individuals

Resources for Pastors and Congregations

  • "Eco-Palms" -- Order by February 20!  In Guatemala and Mexico, a new palm-harvesting process protects the environment and also provides a fair income for the harvesters.  Called eco-palms, the palms are harvested in a sustainable way, the harvesters are paid on the quality of the palms and package and ship their palms directly rather than relying on middlemen -- ensuring that more of the money paid for the palms actually goes to those who worked the hardest to provide them.

  • "Table Tents" from Bread for the World give a focus on weekly prayers for the hungry at soup suppers or for distribution to families

  • Worship planning helps from ELCA churchwide worship staff, including a new "Lent checklist"

  • "Eco-palms" LWR social and environmental justice project that ensures palm harvesters earn a fair income and palms are harvested in an environmentally sustainable way.

  • "NewProclamation.com" is an preaching resource with excellent basics for Year C

  • New services for Ash Wednesday and the "Three Days" are available in Evangelical Lutheran Worship and at SundaysandSeasons.com.
