Office of the Treasurer
Welcome
Christina Jackson-Skelton, ELCA Treasurer Welcome to the web pages of the
Office of the Treasurer.
The Office of the Treasurer is one of three offices within the ELCA churchwide structure. The other two offices are the
Office of the Bishop and the
Office of the Secretary. Offices within the churchwide structure relate to and are under the authority of a full-time ELCA officer.
The ELCA officer with the authority over the Office of the Treasurer is the ELCA Treasurer,
Christina Jackson-Skelton.
The Office of the Treasurer manages business affairs, proposes financial policy for review and action by the Church Council, provides for implementation of those financial, accounting, investment and money management policies, and provides information-technology and property-management services for the churchwide organization. The treasurer also serves as president of the
Mission Investment Fund of the ELCA.
As a result of the realignment of the churchwide organization in 2005, the Office of the Treasurer also manages functions that directly relate to an identifiable aspect of the treasurer's duties. These functions include those roles supported by
Information Technology and
Management Services.
